Project Details
The Back-to-School Education Support Program was developed to address the barriers that prevent vulnerable children in Korogocho from accessing and completing their education. Through this initiative, Friends Anduru CBO provided school fees support, uniforms, textbooks, stationery, and other essential learning materials to children from low-income households.
Beyond material support, the project incorporated mentorship sessions, academic guidance, and parental engagement activities to create a supportive learning environment both at school and at home. By reducing the financial burden on families and encouraging consistent school attendance, the programme contributed to improved academic performance, reduced dropout rates, and increased opportunities for children to pursue their educational aspirations.
